Well, I am starting this blog to remind myself of failures and successes in my foray into the dating world.
I am 41 and newly separated from a man I was married to for way too long.

A little background on me: married 20+ years, 2 sons 18 & 20, work in a boring job (thus the time for blogging).

I honestly dipped my toes in the dating/sex pool a little while before I was officially separated. I know that makes me a naughty girl. But I was going insane in the relationship I was in, needing the distraction in a bad way.

I started out by reading ads on Craigslist. I know what you are thinking "Is she crazy?". Well maybe a little crazy. The first ad I answered was in the "strictly platonic" category. I met an awesome guy that I'll call C. Over the past few months we have become very good friends and i treasure him for his honest opinions.

I also met another guy I'll call J.
We exchanged alot of email and friendly banter for a few weeks.
He came to my part of town one day so that we could have "coffee".
We met at the coffee shop and both decided that we had already had enough coffee for the day and decided to go to a place that was a little more um.... private.
We drove to a local park, that wasn't extremely private, and parked.
We kissed and petted for a long time, it got very hot.
We decided that we needed to find more privacy!!
We drove around until we found an office building at the end of a dead end road.
There was a path leading to the woods behind the building.
I'm sure it was a hilarious site to see me traipsing through the woods in my heels!
We ended up having hot sex in the woods.
When i got back to my office I had leaves in my underwear and my hair!!
He and I emailed for a little while, but were looking for different things.

After reading alot of ads I decided to post my own. Since i was still with my husband i posted to the "Casual" category. Received TONS of replies, more than i could ever reply to. And interestingly, they were all real! I have heard folks complain about getting alot of spam in their replies, but I didn't. Lots of nice guys replied, and a few freaks. What is up with the unsolicited penis pics?? I don't get it.

From the casual ad i met a few guys that i still communicate with.
The first guy, I'll call P. P and i also emailed for a few weeks and proceeded to telephone calls.
P is a law enforcement officer and is married to woman with alot of problems, both physical and mental.
We really hit it off, I could have easily fallen for this guy. We had so much in common. I really believe i would have ran away with him in a second.
Me met one time in a hotel and had some of the most awesome sex i have ever had.
We continued to talk, email, IM for a while after that. His wife then got very sick and he had to devote more time to her. And i think he felt guilty. I occasionally get a quick IM from him, but that's it............................. I miss him.
